All About Me

2020-2021
My name is Cheri Miller, and I have had the privilege of teaching at West End Elementary since 2005. I taught second grade for five years, and this is my eleventh year to teach fourth grade. My husband and I have been married since June of 2000, and we have one son, who is in the eighth grade. I graduated from Oneonta High School, and attended Snead State Community College for two years. From there, I transferred to Jacksonville State University, where I graduated with honors in December of 2003 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I obtained my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama in July 2010. I am highly qualified in accordance with No Child Left Behind.
It is my belief that every child can learn, and it is my goal to create life-long learners that continuously desire to learn new and exciting things. I love to read, and I hope to pass along this love to my students because reading can take you so many places and teach you so many interesting things.
I am here for your child, so please feel free to contact me with any questions and/or concerns that you may have. My planning time is from 9:30-10:10 daily. Please call during that time. You can also reach me via e-mail. My e-mail address is cheri_miller@ecboe.org.
Thank you for your support! I look forward to working with you and your child. I know that we are going to have a great year!
