Accelerated Reader

Students are encouraged to read and quiz on Accelerated Reader books. Not every book in the library has a matching Accelerated Reader Quiz, but every Accelerated Reader Quiz that has been written is available to WEE students. 

Students meet their Accelerated Reader Goals by 

• Points required per minutes read

• Average Percent Correct on Quizzes taken

• Staying within the correct Zone of Proximal Development

If all these things are met, the student can select a popular book from our Book Vending Machine. Each student’s goals are tailored for the student’s abilities, so all students who read carefully and take quizzes on their library books should potentially reach this goal of a free book that is theirs to keep.
